The routine checklist
Work through these items on a schedule that matches how hard the machine runs:
- Oil level and oil condition, checked with the dip stick and level glass
- Intake air filter and filter housing condition
- Drive belt condition and tension on belt-driven units
- Condensate drained from the receiver via the drain cock
- Leaks at fittings, couplers and hoses
- Belt guards and safety guarding correctly fitted
Keep the consumables on the shelf
V-belts, gaskets, oil breathers, dip sticks and drain cocks are inexpensive compared with the downtime caused by waiting for them. Force Air supplies these compressor parts.
When to call for support
Unusual noise, overheating, pressure that will not build, or oil carry-over into the air line all warrant attention. Force Air provides compressor repair services and can advise on the parts required.
