Start with the equipment list
List every air-consuming tool and machine, its air consumption and its required pressure. Mark which items realistically run at the same time — that simultaneous total, not the grand total, drives the sizing.
Add margin for leaks and growth
Compressed-air systems lose air through fittings, couplers and hoses. Sizing with headroom keeps the machine off a permanent full-load cycle and leaves room for another workstation later.
Tank capacity and motor power
Tank capacity buffers demand peaks; motor power determines how quickly air is replaced. Force Air's piston range covers 100 L to 300 L tanks with 2.2 kW, 5.5 kW and 7.5 kW options, while the screw range runs 7.5 kW to 75 kW.
